Men’s basketball wins MIAC championship after beating Gustavus 83-77
John Nance’s career-high 20 points off the bench led the St. Thomas men’s basketball team to an 83-77 victory over Gustavus in the MIAC championship Sunday afternoon. The win secures St. Thomas a bid in the NCAA tournament and is the program’s 1,500th all-time victory.
Strong doubles performances help women’s tennis beat St. Scholastica 6-3
The St. Thomas women’s tennis team defeated St. Scholastica 6-3 Sunday at home.
Senior captain Madeline Gail said she anticipated a close match from a strong team.

After a 4-2 semifinal playoff loss to Concordia-Moorhead Saturday night at home, the St. Thomas men’s hockey season ended.
Women’s basketball loses MIAC championship game 71-61 to Concordia-Moorhead
Erica Nord’s 17 points were too much for the St. Thomas women’s basketball team as it lost the MIAC playoff championship game to Concordia-Moorhead 71-61 Saturday at home.
The loss hit hard after an exhilarating 50-48 win against Gustavus Thursday night. Coach Ruth Sinn said being on defense for a majority of the game made it difficult to get back on track.
Men’s basketball overcomes Hamline’s 19-point lead, advances to MIAC championship
Led by seniors Anders Halvorsen and Tyler Nicolai, the Tommies erased a 19-point first-half deficit to defeat the Hamline Pipers 78-70 at home. The win sends the Tommies into the MIAC playoff championship.
