University will not add extra security for student center
Public Safety will not be adding additional security to monitor the student center. Building managers have been trained to respond to problems and handle other safety procedures.
Anderson Student Center credit card system delayed
Students will be able to use credit cards in all food venues at St.Thomas for the first time, but the start date has been delayed because of federal bank regulations and fees.
Social media website connects MIAC students
The College Grind is a website that posts content that caters to MIAC students. The site has received mostly positive feedback from St. Thomas students, but there were a few concerns regarding its hottest girls of the MIAC competition.

Former chief justice, St. Thomas alum Sheran dies at 96
Former Minnesota Supreme Court Chief Justice Robert Sheran, a St. Thomas graduate who was appointed twice to the state’s highest court, has died. He was 96.
Smartphone use linked to stress
A study from psychologist Richard Balding of the University of Worcester, England, suggests that because smartphone’s allow for easy access to social networks like Facebook and Twitter, the pressure to keep up with one’s social life becomes a large contributor to stress.
