Senior Mariann Kukielka was named the winner of the 2015 Tommie Award Thursday, becoming the first female recipient of the award in 14 years.

Profiles of the 2015 Tommie Award nominees
St. Thomas Student Affairs recently released the names of 18 seniors who have been nominated for the 2015 Tommie Award.
2015 Tommie Award nominee: Mariann Kukielka
Mariann Kukielka is from Shoreview, Minnesota. She is on the swim and dive team, the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Delta Sigma Pi and serves as a first year commuter adviser. She also volunteers with Special Olympics Minnesota and Junior Achievement.
2015 Tommie Award nominee: Heather Meeks
Heather Meeks is from Atoka, Tennessee. She is involved in Colleges Against Cancer, Relay for Life, UST Community Clean Up and is an RA.
2015 Tommie Award nominee: Chad Berg
Chad Berg is from Rosemount, Minnesota. He is involved in Summit Singers, Undergraduate Student Government, STAR, the board of trustees finance committee and Sigma Tau Omega.
2015 Tommie Award nominee: Kara Gamelin
Kara Gamelin is from Forest Lake, Minnesota. On campus, she is the co-chair of the Homecoming Committee and works for STAR.

Christine Robbins is from Owatonna, Minnesota. She is involved in the St. Thomas Activities and Recreation Committee, SHINE and the Symphonic Wind Ensemble.
2015 Tommie Award nominee: Tanesha Williams
Tanesha Williams is from Minneapolis. She has been involved in Hall Council, Latinos Unidos and Badminton Club.
2015 Tommie Award nominee: Kody Kantor
Kody Kantor is from Clearwater, Minnesota. During his time at St. Thomas, he was involved in Residence Hall Association, the Computer Science Club and Silver Wings.
2015 Tommie Award nominee: Joseph Lewis
Joseph Lewis is from Maplewood, Minnesota. He is the president of on-campus club Shine and is involved in Undergraduate Student Government, the Spirituality Committee, the Electrical Engineering club and the Formula Car Team.
