Two St. Thomas students in hijabs were singled out and asked for their student IDs before entering a campus shuttle on Wednesday, prompting a response from the Dougherty Family College dean and the suspension of the driver.
A St. Thomas shuttle bus broke down shortly after 1 p.m., Feb. 9 on Cretin Avenue during a routine trip to the Minneapolis campus, spewing smoke and blocking a lane of traffic.
The ACTC shuttle bus will stop running at the end of spring semester because of declining student enrollment in the ACTC program and the cost of gas.
The new Light Rail line will provide more transportation opportunities to students and changes to St. Thomas’ shuttle pickup and dropoff location.
