Some residents in St. Paul have not had their recycling picked up in over three weeks due to ice and snow preventing trucks from reaching pickup areas. Eureka Recycling has started alley pickup in an effort to reduce buildup.

From Nov. 28 to Jan. 16, the city of St. Paul will work with Eureka Recycling to replace curbside bins with single-sort, 64-gallon recycling carts. After nearly 32 years at St. Thomas, Bob Douglas, a longtime employee of the Facilities Management team, retired this spring.
Eco-friendly trash compactors come to campus
St. Thomas entered into a trial period with Compaction Technologies on April 1, when new trash compactors were placed in the areas that generate the most trash on campus.
