The University of St. Thomas will close Tuesday at 8 p.m. and remain closed through Wednesday, Nov. 27, due to winter weather, the university said in an alert.

Ray Ghansham Persaud, 20, who is accused of making several hoax bomb threats at the University of St. Thomas over the last six months, made his first appearance Tuesday afternoon in U.S. District Court in Minneapolis.
St. Thomas community gathers to reclaim Ireland Hall, protest racial slur incident
More than 200 students, faculty and staff gathered in Koch Commons Thursday night for a “BE-In” event to reclaim the space of Ireland Hall after a racial slur was found in one of its bathrooms. The event was followed by a peaceful protest in front of the men’s dormitory.
