The St. Thomas men’s and women’s cross country teams both failed to earn automatic bids to the NCAA Championships – the top two teams in each region qualify – but ultimately received at-large bids to the 32-team NCAA Championships next weekend.
Senior Erin Statz is a two-time All-American athlete and was recently named the D-III National Athlete of the Week for cross country.
The men’s team title is the Tommis’ sixth in the past seven seasons, while the women’s was its 10th straight.
