Running back Josh Parks rushed for an even 100 yards and one touchdown as the St. Thomas football team led 41-0 at O’Shaugnessy Stadium Saturday evening going into half against the Hamline Pipers.

Parks led a ground attack that ran for 188 total yards and three touchdowns. He scored his only touchdown on an 8-yard scamper in the second. Back-up running back Tom Loeffler came in during the second quarter and amassed 63 yards on 9 carries.

Tommie quarterback Jacques Perra only threw four passes throughout the half but connected with tight end Jackson Finn on a 6-yard pass for the first touchdown of the game. Perra also scored his first rushing touchdown of the season on a 10-yard scramble to end the first.

The Tommies defense played strong in the first half, allowing seven total yards to the Pipers. Cornerback Sam Gerrety started the game with a pick-six on Hamline’s first drive. Wide receiver Will Toonen added a touchdown off of a blocked punt on the next possession.

This is the first time the Tommies have played an evening game at O’Shaughnessy Stadium in 30 years.
