Around 500 students packed the O’Shaughnessy Educational Center auditorium Wednesday night for the Summit Singers’ first spring concert performance.
The group of 13 singers, which sophomore Chad Berg formed, is an all male A capella group at St. Thomas. The group rehearses once a week in Brady Education Center auditorium and started out as a couple of friends who enjoyed getting together to sing, many of them chamber singers.
“We didn’t really know where it would go,” Berg said about the progress of the Summit Singers.
The Summit Singers officially became university affiliated in October, and will be looking for singers to fill spots in the group in the fall.
