After St. Thomas Public Safety reported an aggravated assault involving a St. Thomas student Sept. 20, the student recanted his story.

The victim originally claimed he was cut by a knife, after refusing to give up his valuables to unknown suspects in the area of Summit and Cleveland avenues. The new Public Safety update stated the department is currently working with the St. Paul Police Department to change the status of the student’s police report to unfounded.
