St. Thomas drove to the Moorhead 11-yard-line in the first quarter but failed on a fourth down play. In the second quarter the Tommies marched to the Concordia 39 but were forced to punt.
The Cobbers attempted only two passes in the first half, but gashed the St. Thomas defense for several long runs and ran for 172 yards by halftime.
