On Oct. 6, 2013 at 1:45 a.m., Public Safety documented a liquor law violation outside the Anderson Student Center. Officers sent an intoxicated underage St. Thomas student off campus with a sober caregiver.
On Oct. 7, 2013 at 12:23 a.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity on the 30 block of South Finn Street. Officers identified a non-St. Thomas affiliated individual sleeping in a van who then left the area.
On Oct. 7, 2013 at 8:47 p.m., Public Safety documented a drug law violation in Flynn Residence Hall. Officers discovered a St. Thomas student had used and possessed marijuana and related paraphernalia.
On Oct. 7, 2013 at 9:33 p.m., Public Safety assisted Residence Life with a policy violation in Flynn Residence Hall. Four students possessed stolen St. Thomas property, and one had knives and replica guns in violation of St. Thomas policy.
On Oct. 8, 2013 at 10:09 p.m., Public Safety assisted Residence life with suspicious activity in Cretin Residence Hall. Two St. Thomas students’ room smelled like burnt marijuana, and officers found they had used a hookah in violation of the residential policy.
On Oct. 9, 2013 at 3:16 a.m., Public Safety documented a welfare check in Morrison Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student reported their roommate had not come home from a night out, but the student returned later and was OK.
On Oct. 9, 2013 at 11:19 a.m., Public Safety documented a complaint in the Morrison Hall Public Safety Office. A St. Thomas student reported ongoing concerns about students smoking and being disruptive outside 2110 Summit Ave.
On Oct. 9, 2013 at 5:18 p.m., Public Safety and the Metro Transit police documented a motor vehicle accident at an off-campus location in St. Paul. A Metro Transit bus struck a St. Thomas student’s car as they were making a legal turn, rendering the car inoperable.
On Oct. 9, 2013 at 9:03 p.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity on the 2100 block of Summit Avenue. The Metro Transit police reported a suspicious backpack recovered from a Metro Transit bus was determined to be unthreatening.
On Oct. 10, 2013 at 10:19 a.m., Public Safety documented property damage in Minneapolis Opus Hall. A St. Thomas employee reported a sanitary dispenser in the fourth-floor women’s restroom was pried open.
On Oct. 10, 2013 at 10:26 p.m., Public Safety documented a drug law violation and a liquor law violation in Flynn Residence Hall. Officers found a St. Thomas student possessed marijuana, related paraphernalia and another underage student possessed alcohol.
On Oct. 11, 2013 at 6:38 p.m., Public Safety documented a safety concern in Dowling Residence Hall. A malfunctioning smoke detector in a residence went into audible alarm.
On Oct. 11, 2013 at 10:05 p.m., Public Safety documented two liquor law violations in Cretin Residence Hall. Two underage St. Thomas students consumed and possessed alcohol and one was intoxicated and sent off campus with a sober caregiver.
On Oct. 12, 2013 at 12:30 a.m., Public Safety documented a noise complaint on the 1900 block of Marshall Avenue. The St. Paul Police Department reported officers cleared about 15 people from a residence on the block.
On Oct. 12, 2013 at 1:49 a.m., Public Safety documented a noise complaint on the 1700 block of Ashland Avenue. St. Paul Police reported officers cleared approximately 30 people from a residence on the block.
On Oct. 12, 2013 at 3:08 a.m., Public Safety documented a noise complaint on the 1800 block of Dayton Avenue. A report of loud singing was determined to be coming from a residence on the block.
On Oct. 12, 2013 at 10:24 a.m., Public Safety documented a policy violation in the Morrison Hall Public Safety Office. A fake ID was found in a St. Thomas student’s wallet, recovered from the Anderson Student Center and secured as found property inventory.
On Oct. 12, 2013 at 8:24 p.m., Public Safety documented two liquor law violations on the Lower Quad. Officers sent two underage intoxicated students off campus with their parents.
On Oct. 13, 2013 at 3:35 a.m., Public Safety assisted a Macalester student with a welfare check in Morrison Hall. The Macalester student was concerned a St. Thomas student did not make it home OK, but the St. Thomas student was found in his residence and was fine.
On Oct. 13, 2013 at 6:01 p.m., Public Safety documented two drug law violations in Ireland Residence Hall. Two St. Thomas students possessed marijuana and related paraphernalia, and another student was present in Ireland in violation of his disciplinary status.
On Oct. 14, 2013 at 9:04 p.m., Public Safety documented a medical in the Morrison Hall Public Safety office. Officers assisted a St. Thomas student who burned her fingers on a hot beverage, but she declined further medical attention.
On Oct. 16 2013 at 2:34 p.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity on the 2100 block of Summit Ave. A St. Thomas employee reported she was verbally accosted by a St. Thomas neighbor in the alley between Summit and Grand avenues.
On Oct. 17, 2013 at 8:30 a.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity on the corner of Summit and Cleveland avenues. A non-St. Thomas affiliated individual was standing at the corner with an inflammatory sign about the university.
On Oct. 17, 2013 at 10:35 p.m., Public Safety documented two liquor law violations in Dowling Residence Hall. Two underage St. Thomas students and a non-St. Thomas juvenile had consumed alcohol and one of the students was present in violation of his disciplinary status.
On Oct. 18, 2013 at 1:42 a.m., Public Safety and the St. Paul Police responded to suspicious activity on the 2000 block of Marshall Avenue. A St. Thomas student found an unidentified suspect in her unsecured residence, but the suspect fled when confronted.
On Oct. 18, 2013 at 2:22 p.m., Public Safety documented harassment in the Morrison Hall Public Safety Office. A St. Thomas student reported unwanted, threatening electronic contact from a second St. Thomas student.
On Oct. 18, 2013 at 8:26 p.m., Public Safety documented six liquor law violations in Grace Residence Hall. Six underage St. Thomas students and three underage guests consumed alcohol and one of the guests possessed marijuana and related paraphernalia.
On Oct. 18, 2013 at 10:35 p.m., Public Safety documented property damage in Dowling Residence Hall. Officers found graffiti written in gold glitter pen in the center stairwell.
On Oct. 19, 2013 at 2:57 a.m., Public Safety responded to a disturbance on the Upper Quad. An intoxicated non-St. Thomas individual kicked over a pedestrian sign, was trespassed from campus and sent home with a sober caregiver.
On Oct. 19, 2013 at 3:34 p.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity on Portland Avenue. A St. Thomas student reported unidentified individuals were tampering with vehicles parked there.
On Oct. 20, 2013 at 2:14 a.m., Public Safety documented three liquor law violations and one drug law violation in Ireland Residence Hall. Three underage St. Thomas students consumed alcohol and one possessed marijuana and related paraphernalia.
On Oct. 20, 2013 at 7:48 p.m., Public Safety reported a disturbance in O’Shaughnessy Educational Center. Officers discovered a large group of unattended juveniles in second floor classrooms and were determined to have left a large amount of trash in the area.
On Oct. 20, 2013 at 10:35 p.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity in Ireland Residence Hall. Two St. Thomas students reported two unidentified individuals entered their unsecured residence early in the morning claiming to be resident advisers looking for alcohol.
On Oct. 21, 2013 at 10:45 a.m., Public Safety, St. Paul Police and Fire Department responded to a vehicle accident at Summit and Cretin avenues. A St. Thomas male was struck while crossing the intersection illegally and taken to an area hospital for further medical attention.
