On April 8, 2013 at 6:48 p.m., Public Safety assisted FAIR School staff in Minneapolis Opus Hall. Cameras were reviewed in an attempt to identify possible suspects in laptop thefts from the school.
On April 8, 2013 at 9:48 p.m., Public Safety documented a fire in Anderson Parking Facility. A St. Thomas guest reported he extinguished a small engine fire in his vehicle, causing damage to his vehicle, but no injuries or damage to St. Thomas property.
On April 8, 2013 at 10:04 p.m., Public Safety assisted a St. Thomas parent with a welfare check in Dowling Residence Hall. The parent’s student, who the parent was trying to reach, was located in lower level Dowling and was OK.
On April 9, 2013 at 8:19 a.m., Public Safety reported a policy violation in Flynn Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student removed a smoke detector in her residence in violation of university policy and state law.
On April 9, 2013 at 11:06 a.m., Public Safety reported property damage in Lot B. A St. Thomas vehicle was found with damage to the rear passenger side due to unknown means.
On April 9, 2013 at 2:44 p.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex. A St. Thomas student who injured his shoulder while exercising was assisted by officers and declined further medical attention.
On April 9, 2013 at 10:41 p.m., Public Safety documented a neighbor complaint on the 1800 block of Goodrich Avenue. A St. Thomas neighbor reported ongoing concerns regarding the residents of an address on the block.
On April 9, 2013 at 11:48 p.m., Public Safety and Residence Life responded to an odor of marijuana in Ireland Residence Hall. The odor was determined to be coming from the residence of two St. Thomas students, one of whom was in unlawful possession of prescription medication.
On April 10, 2013 at 12:24 a.m., Public Safety responded to suspicious activity in Murray-Herrick Campus Center. A St. Thomas student, who fled when being found in MHC after hours, was found in possession of marijuana and a second unidentified suspect could not be located.
On April 10, 2013 at 1:27 p.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity in Aquinas Hall. A threatening e-mail received by a St. Thomas employee was later determined to likely be spam.
On April 10, 2013 at 1:47 p.m., Public Safety and St. Paul Fire Department Medics responded to a medical in O’Shaughnessy Educational Center. A St. Thomas student who fainted was assisted by medics and declined further medical attention.
On April 10, 2013 at 11:10 p.m., Public Safety and Residence Life responded to a policy violation. Two underage St. Thomas students, who tampered with a smoke detector in their residence, were found in possession of alcohol.
On April 11, 2013 at 3:24 a.m., Public Safety assisted a St. Thomas parent with a welfare check in Morrison Hall. The parent’s student, who the parent was trying to locate, was later reached by phone and was OK.
On April 11, 2013 between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., Public Safety documented a theft in Anderson Student Center. A St. Thomas student reported her unattended purse was stolen from an unsecured kitchen area on the second floor of ASC.
On April 11, 2013 at 3:56 p.m., Public Safety documented a theft outside of Brady Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student reported finding the front tire of his bike secured to the bike rack outside of Brady, and the rest of the bike gone.
On April 12, 2013 at 2:01 a.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation in Dowling Residence Hall. An intoxicated underage St. Thomas student and intoxicated underage guest were sent off campus with a parent.
On April 12, 2013 at 2:18 a.m., Public Safety and St. Paul Fire Department Medics responded to a medical near the Arches. A severely intoxicated underage St. Thomas student was transported by medics to an area hospital for further medical attention.
On April 12, 2013 at 4:14 a.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity in Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex. A Physical Plant staff member reported two unidentified individuals, found in AARC after hours, fled from the building after being confronted.
On April 12, 2013 at 4 p.m., Public Safety responded to a medical in Minneapolis Opus Hall. A St. Thomas student who injured her finger was assisted by an officer and declined further medical attention.
On April 12, 2013 at 9:24 p.m., Public Safety responded to suspicious activity in Lot A. A guest of a St. Thomas student who smelled of marijuana and was in possession of several pieces of paraphernalia was identified by officers and trespassed from campus.
On April 13, 2013 at 2:39 a.m., Public Safety responded to suspicious activity in Flynn Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student directing a laser pointer at officers outside of Flynn was identified and the pointer was confiscated.
On April 13, 2013 at 3:03 a.m., Public Safety reported damage to property on the MacPhail building. Black paint graffiti was found on the exterior of the building.
On April 13, 2013 at 3:30 a.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity on the 30 block of South Finn Street. A vehicle idling for a long period time with unidentified persons inside, was later found parked with the engine off and empty.
On April 13, 2013 at 9:54 a.m., Public Safety and the Minneapolis Police Department responded to a suspicious person in Schulze Hall. A non-St. Thomas affiliated individual, previously involved in suspicious activity on campus, was identified and trespassed from campus.
On April 14, 2013 at 12:02 a.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation in Morrison Hall. Three underage intoxicated St. Thomas students, found by the St. Paul Police Department off campus, were sent home with sober caregivers.
On April 14, 2013 at 12:45 a.m., Public Safety responded to a liquor law violation in Morrison Hall. Two underage St. Thomas students, found by the St. Paul Police Department off campus, were found to have consumed alcohol.
