The St. Thomas women’s basketball team beat the Hamline Pipers (5-9 overall, 4-7 MIAC) 69-62 Monday afternoon. The win puts the Tommies in a tie for first place in the MIAC with St. Ben’s (21-1 overall, 9-1 MIAC).

Chris Olean was named the head coach of the Tommie baseball team Wednesday.
Olean said he was “ecstatic” when he heard the news.

Caruso wins Division III football coach of the year award
Football coach Glenn Caruso was voted the 2010 Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year for the NCAA Division III Monday.
Caruso accepted the award in Phoenix, while about 50 people gathered in the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex to watch and celebrate back home.
