Football coach Glenn Caruso was named the 2011 Division III National Coach of the Year by the publication American Football Monthly and, for the second year in a row, the Liberty Mutual Division III National Coach of the Year Award.

Women’s basketball beats Augsburg 49-41
Sophomore Maggie Weiers’s 18 points led the way for St. Thomas. The close win keeps the Tommies in first place in the MIAC.

Dubuque receiver wins Gagliardi Trophy over Waldvogel
St. Thomas senior wide receiver Fritz Waldvogel was one of four finalists for the Gagliardi Trophy, the award given to the most outstanding all-around student-athlete in Division III football, but Dubuque’s Michael Zweifel took home the hardware.
