Graduates and their families lined up Saturday to take free shuttles from the Anderson parking ramp to the Metrodome where the 2010 undergraduate spring commencement ceremony was held. The line for the shuttles wrapped around the first two levels of the parking ramp.

At the St. Thomas commencement ceremony Saturday, 75-year-old James Garber will receive his long-awaited diploma.
Construction crews break ground on new student center
Construction started Tuesday on the new Anderson Student Center. The City of St. Paul granted the highly anticipated permits Monday, allowing OPUS to break ground on the 20-month project.
The $66 million, 225,000-square-foot student center will feature four bowling lanes, a giant dance floor and an 1,800-square-foot atrium.
Cleveland and Grand building proposal pulled
A proposal has been pulled for a six-story mixed residential and commercial building on the corner of Grand and Cleveland avenues after the plans for the building were met with opposition from neighborhood residents.
Math Resource Center tops 10,000 visitors
In two years, the number of students signing in to use the MaRC services has doubled.

After 13 years of vacancy, greenhouse gets renovations
Masked workers are removing caulking containing asbestos from the greenhouse near the John Roach Center to help prepare extra greenhouse and lab spaces for the growing biology department.
Controversial pamphlet mailed to faculty, students’ families
Some parents of St. Thomas students have received a pamphlet in the mail addressing the university’s Catholic identity. But the pamphlet is not from university administrators or anyone affiliated with St. Thomas.
