According to a Department of Justice study, almost 25 percent of college women have been victims of sexual assault. In 2007, St. Thomas reported six forcible sexual offenses.

Fewer women in student government positions
Of the 50 colleges ranked highest by the U.S. News & World Report, less than a third of student presidents are women, according to The Washington Post. The trend exists at St. Thomas, too.
