STAR announced Wednesday that Gavin DeGraw will headline the spring concert Saturday, May 14. DeGraw will perform from 9 p.m. to midnight in the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex.
Dalai Lama to visit St. Thomas Saturday for private event
The Dalai Lama is the spiritual leader of the Tibetan people. He will be on campus for an invitation-only religious ceremony for members of the Tibetan community.

Business majors study less than others, survey shows
The National Survey of Student Engagement found business majors spend fewer hours studying outside of class compared to students majoring in biology.
USG discusses results of second tobacco survey
Forty-one percent of students who responded to the survey said they strongly disagree that students should be able to consume tobacco anywhere on campus.
Students raise more than $28,000 for Relay for Life
Forty teams registered for the event, which lasted from 7 p.m. April 30 to 7 a.m. May 1, to raise money for cancer research. About 350 students helped raise $28,520, an increase from last year’s $28,000.
Swing dancing Victory Ball celebrates WWII veterans
The second annual Victory Ball sponsored by the Swing Dance Club was held Saturday, April 30. The event included World War II uniforms, music from the 40s, old-fashioned hairstyles and swing dance lessons.
