St. Thomas has had 14 presidents in its 127-year history, all priests, all men. Thanks to a 2011 bylaw change, the university’s 15th president could now be a layperson and also a woman.

Stewardship Garden: tough economy, demand grows
Since it was built four years ago, the St. Thomas Stewardship Garden has grown under senior Ashela Richardson’s leadership, who took over after the garden’s former organizer, St. Thomas alumnus Aaron Hays, graduated last May.

Crosswalk crash on Summit Avenue
A female left the scene rattled late Wednesday afternoon after a small SUV collided with the back end of a large white van, just short of hitting her while walking across the pedestrian crosswalk outside the arches on Summit Avenue.
Men’s hockey team hopes for on-campus rink
Most St. Thomas athletes get to put their practice clothes on, warm up and prepare for games on campus, however the St. Thomas men’s hockey team puts the key in the ignition to travel about 15 minutes to their home rink in Mendota Heights.
