St. Thomas hosted the Tommie Twilight women’s track and field meet, a non-scoring meet, Wednesday evening. Coach Joe Sweeney said the women’s team was performing great during the meet.

‘Livin’ in Color’ week continues with African drumming event
Christian Adeti, an African drummer and performer, led students in a call-and-response, and he would show them a dance routine and ask them to repeat it back. It started off slow, but students quickly caught on.
Senior Class Gift Committee brings yoga to the quad
The class was similar to a C1 entry-level class at CorePower, designed around a Vinyasa style of yoga. Vinyasa yoga is one of the most commonly practiced styles in the West.

Asian Culture Show kicks off ‘Livin’ in Color’ week
The Coalition of Multicultural Organizations spiced up the evening with Asian food, music and dance Monday at the Asian Culture Show held in the O’Shaughnessy Educational Center auditorium.

iPhone location tracking worries some
Sophomore Andrew Kjos was worried after hearing that Apple could track users’ locations through their iPhones. Other St. Thomas faculty and staff give their opinions on the issue.
Edwards shines in baseball sweep of St. Olaf
Pro scouts came to Koch Diamond Sunday afternoon to see St. Olaf starting pitcher Ben Hughes, but St. Thomas senior pitcher Kris Edwards stole the show as the Tommies defeated the Oles in a doubleheader 11-1, 9-2.
Musical theater concert showcases Chamber Singers
Junior Aaron Behnke conducted the Chamber Singers’ first piece, “Seasons of Love” from “Rent.” As a vocal music education major, Behnke has taken conducting classes at St. Thomas, but said this was his first time conducting a large group.
Students raise more than $28,000 for Relay for Life
Forty teams registered for the event, which lasted from 7 p.m. April 30 to 7 a.m. May 1, to raise money for cancer research. About 350 students helped raise $28,520, an increase from last year’s $28,000.
