Women’s hockey halts late push, ties Gusties for MIAC lead

Goaltender Alise Riedel closed the door late to give the St. Thomas women’s hockey team a 3-1 victory over Gustavus Adolphus Saturday.

T.J. Oshie scored four times in the shootout and got the winner in the eighth round, leading the United States past Russia 3-2 Saturday.

Forward Alex Niestrom’s two goals late in the third period give St. Thomas a 4-2 victory over Gustavus Friday night.
