Men’s soccer coach Aaron Macke resigned unexpectedly in an email sent to the team Friday, Feb. 17. Macke said that he stepped down to focus on his three sons and his job as Residence Life director.
Matthew Sullivan wins 2012 Tommie Award
Senior Matthew Sullivan is the winner of the 2012 Tommie Award. Sullivan is a finance major and has been involved in Undergraduate Student Government, Up ’til Dawn and varsity football.
Students respond to lower drinking age bill
On Jan. 30, Rep. Phyllis Kahn proposed a bill that would lower the legal drinking age in Minnesota to 18 years old. The bill would allow 18-year-olds to purchase and consume alcohol in bars and restaurants.
Caruso donates $10,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Football coach Glenn Caruso, who won the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year award for the second year in a row, presented his $10,000 donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Tuesday in the Tommie Room.
