On August 8 at 12:25 p.m., Public Safety reported vehicle damage on the 2000 block of Marshall Avenue. A UST neighbor reported several windows of their parked vehicle were smashed.

On July 28 at 3:24 p.m., Public Safety reported a vehicle accident in LOT X. A UST employee reported they backed their vehicle into a sign, causing minor damage to the sign and their vehicle.

On July 24 at 11:37 p.m., Public Safety responded to a policy violation in Flynn Residence Hall. Three underage UST students were found to have removed a smoke detector in FRH in order to use cigarettes, and were consuming alcohol too.

On July 18 at 7:22 p.m., Public Safety and St. Paul Police Department responded to a vehicle accident at the intersection of Summit Avenue and Cleveland Avenue. Two non-UST affiliated individuals’ vehicles struck each other, rendering both vehicles inoperable, but no injuries were reported.

On July 13 at 12:44 p.m., Public Safety reported a burglary in John Roach Center. A UST employee reported the glass pane of their secured office door was forcibly removed, and several books were stolen from the office.

Linfield puts an end to softball’s season
Linfield ended the St. Thomas softball team’s season Sunday.
Linfield’s two home runs powered the team past the Tommies (40-8) for a 3-1 win in the NCAA softball regional title game in Indianola, Iowa. Linfield (38-5) moves onto next week’s College World Series.

Mullee takes third place in 100 backstroke
Junior All-American swimmer Peter Mullee took third place in the 100-yard backstroke Friday evening at the NCAA Division III National Swimming and Diving Championships.
