Gavin DeGraw plays for about 800 students in field house
Gavin DeGraw performed at the spring concert May 14 in the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex field house. About 800 people attended the concert, said STAR programming intern Mo Berkowitz.

People who fear Friday the 13th suffer from friggatriskaidepaphobia, according to the Skeptic’s Dictionary. However, students aren’t buying the superstition.

Students fold cranes in support of Japan
Students from Princeton and Stanford universities started the Million Crane Project with the goal of collecting 1 million paper cranes by May 11 and generating enough publicity to increase fundraising.

Musical theater concert showcases Chamber Singers
Junior Aaron Behnke conducted the Chamber Singers’ first piece, “Seasons of Love” from “Rent.” As a vocal music education major, Behnke has taken conducting classes at St. Thomas, but said this was his first time conducting a large group.
University to offer two new global history courses
One course is called the Middle East and North Africa in global perspective. The other class, East Asian civilizations in global perspective, will be an in-depth look at China, Japan or Korea, depending on when the course is offered.

PULSE, Dance Club perform ‘tAG tEAM {for life}’
The show combined a variety of dance styles and included songs ranging from pop to hip-hop to techno. It provided the dancers with an opportunity to look past differences and stereotypes and come together as a unified group of students who love to dance, according to the program.
