Copyright crackdown
Information Resources and Technology receives 250 to 500 complaints from record and movie companies each year due to St. Thomas students who violate copyright laws. If IRT receives a complaint, it attempts to identify the student by IP address and then forwards the complaint to the student.

A study from psychologist Richard Balding of the University of Worcester, England, suggests that because smartphone’s allow for easy access to social networks like Facebook and Twitter, the pressure to keep up with one’s social life becomes a large contributor to stress.

Terry Langan named dean of the College of Arts and Sciences

The Undergraduate Student Services determined a key liaison officer is needed for communication between the student government and food services to ease the transition from Murray-Herrick Campus Center to the new Anderson Student Center.
