St. Thomas cancels all Monday classes as snow piles up
St. Thomas has canceled all day and evening classes for Monday, Feb. 21, according to the university’s snow hotline.
Freshman Anna Fitgerald said she was excited about the snow day.
“I might go play outside tomorrow, maybe go sledding,” she said.

St. Thomas community excited about business accreditation
The St. Thomas community is excited about the business school’s Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International accreditation.
Sophomore business management major Natalie Thatcher said she thinks the accreditation “proves St. Thomas has a great business program.”
Men place second, women third in last home swimming and diving meet
Ten Tommie senior swimmers and divers were honored at the men and women’s swim and dive Meet of Saints Saturday, the final home swim meet of the year.
Chris Olean named head baseball coach
Chris Olean was named the head coach of the Tommie baseball team Wednesday.
Olean said he was “ecstatic” when he heard the news.
“It’s something I’ve been working for for a very, very long time,” he said.
University chooses two possible tennis court sites despite funding issues
St. Thomas announced Tuesday it has narrowed down two possible tennis court sites after reviewing 13 potential on-campus spaces.
Caruso wins Division III football coach of the year award
Football coach Glenn Caruso was voted the 2010 Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year for the NCAA Division III Monday.
Caruso accepted the award in Phoenix, while about 50 people gathered in the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex to watch and celebrate back home.

St. Thomas interviewed three candidates for the head baseball coach position this week. As part of the interview process, each candidate spoke this week at a session open to the community.
