The St. Thomas Peer Ministry program is celebrating its first birthday this fall, but the Peer Ministers, who replaced the previous hall chaplain system, are still trying to tell students who they are.
Scooter’s makes major menu changes
Students eating at St. Thomas’ Scooter’s restaurant aren’t getting their usual pile of chips when they order a wrap or burger. Instead, a salad or grain option has been the standard side since the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year.

Tom Cronin wins 2012 Monsignor James Lavin Award
Class of 1964 St. Thomas alumnus Tom Cronin said when he found out he would receive the 2012 Monsignor James Lavin Award, he didn’t know much about it.

According to the Stanford Medical website, secondhand smoke causes nearly 3,000 deaths each year. St. Thomas should take smoking more seriously and put students’ lives before a bad habit.
Senior believes Stewardship Garden will continue to grow community and vegetables
With no experience in gardening or biology, senior Aaron Hays took on The Stewardship Garden project by organizing, coordinating, energizing and involving on-campus groups.
St. Thomas students training to run through mud, fire and electrical wires
Some St. Thomas students are competing in Tough Mudder, a 12-mile obstacle course. It’s designed by the British Special Forces and has 28 unique obstacles.
