The St. Thomas men’s club lacrosse team has wrapped up their fall practice season, but they are more than ready to pursue a sixth Men’s Collegiate LaCrosse Association national title in the spring. The team is consistently ranked as a top program in the MCLA and has produced 13 MCLA first-team All-Americans in the past two years.

The St. Thomas men’s soccer team lost Saturday at the University of Chicago to No. 13 Luther College 1-0 in the NCAA Division III Sweet 16. The Tommies end their season with a 16-4-2 record and graduated four seniors: Will Kidd, Aidan Hogan, Andrew Stuempfig and Walter Alvarado.

The mastermind behind Division III’s best defensive unit
Wallie Kuchinski, defensive coordinator of the St. Thomas football team, coaches a unit that is top-ranked in the MIAC and fourth overall in Division III. Last year, his defense made national headlines for allowing only 21.9 net rushing yards, the fewest by any NCAA football team in one season.
