The first President Sullivan’s Move-In Crew helped the class of 2017 settle into its new home Saturday.
Director of Residence Life Aaron Macke said several students and parents complimented the ease of the moving process.
Freshman Madalyn Helget said it was convenient to have other students’ help to make the transition easy. She said it only took about two hours to unload her vehicle, unpack her things and set up her room with the crew’s help.
President Sullivan made a brief appearance in the morning to welcome the incoming students and mingle with the volunteers. Macke said Sullivan was more than happy to lend her name to the tradition.
“When President Sullivan came in June, we approached her and said it’s a tradition we have. Students love it, parents love it,” Macke said. “Of course, she was delighted to do it.”
