On Nov. 7 at 2:24 p.m., Public Safety documented a loitering violation at 7th Street and Nicollet Avenue. The Minneapolis Police Department reported two non-St. Thomas affiliated suspects were cited for loitering with intent to buy or sell narcotics.

On Nov. 7 at 7:52 p.m., Public Safety and Residence Life responded to an odor of marijuana at 2151 Grand Ave. Four underage St. Thomas students were found in possession of marijuana and related paraphernalia, alcohol and medications they did not have prescriptions for.

Nov. 7 at 7 p.m., Public Safety documented suspicious activity in the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Center. A St. Thomas employee reported offensive marker graffiti was found on a whiteboard in a women’s locker room.  

On Nov. 8 at 4:56 p.m., Public Safety reported damage to property in Anderson Parking Facility. A St. Thomas student forcibly opened the exit gate arm, rendering the gate arm inoperable and allowing several vehicles to leave without paying.

On Nov. 9 at 12:03 p.m., Public Safety documented disorderly conduct at Anderson Student Center. A St. Thomas vendor reported an unidentified individual followed him to the Anderson Student Center loading dock in a vehicle and was belligerent and aggressive for unknown reasons.

On Nov. 10 at 11:21 a.m., Public Safety documented a theft on the 2000 block of Selby Avenue. The son of a St. Thomas neighbor reported a large homemade sign, expressing support for persons serving in the military, was stolen from the neighbor’s front yard.

On Nov. 10 at 7:59 a.m., Public Safety documented damage to property outside of Brady Educational Center. Stencil graffiti was found in several locations around the BEC.

On Nov. 10 at 11:21 a.m., Public Safety documented a theft on the 2000 block of Selby Avenue. The son of a St. Thomas neighbor reported a large handmade sign expressing support for persons serving in the military, was stolen from the neighbor’s front yard.

On Nov. 10, at 5:49 p.m., Public Safety documented a suspicious person on the 100 block of Cleveland Avenue. A St. Thomas student reported an unidentified individual had been approaching persons in the area for several days soliciting for money.

Nov. 10 at 7:41 p.m., Public Safety reported a policy violation at the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex. A St. Thomas student who was belligerent towards visitors attending a volleyball game in the AARC was identified by officers.

Nov. 11 at 12:52 a.m., Public Safety responded to a disturbance in Flynn Residence Hall. Two St. Thomas students were found to be having a loud argument and one of the students was escorted out of the building.

Nov. 12 at 8:45 a.m., Public Safety and St. Paul Fire Department Medics responded to a medical at Selby Avenue and Cleveland Avenue. A parent of a St. Thomas student, who slipped on ice and suffered a head injury was transported by medics to an area hospital for additional medical attention.

Nov. 12 at 10:16 a.m., Public Safety documented a suspicious person in John Paul II residence hall. A Residence Life staff member reported she found an unidentified male sleeping in the JPII lounge and the male left the building before Public Safety was contacted.

Nov. 12 at 10:28 a.m., Public Safety documented unauthorized computer access in Murray-Herrick Campus Center. A staff member for an organization leasing office space in MHC reported a St. Thomas employee was found viewing offensive materials on one of their computers.

Nov. 12 at 8:36 p.m., Public Safety responded to a welfare check in Ireland Residence Hall. A St. Thomas student, anonymously reported as possibly ill, was located at his residence and advised he was previously sick but was feeling better.

Nov. 12 at 8:36 p.m., Public Safety assisted a St. Thomas parent with a welfare check in Dowling Residence Hall. The parent’s student, who the parent had been trying to reach, was located at her residence and was OK.

Nov. 13 at 8:34 p.m., Public Safety responded to a medical at O’Shaughnessy Stadium. A St. Thomas student who suffered a facial injury playing intramural football was assisted by officers and declined further medical attention.

Nov. 13 at 8:36 p.m., Public Safety reported suspicious activity in Ireland Residence Hall. A non-St. Thomas affiliated individual, who requested a welfare check of a St. Thomas student in Ireland Hall, was later determined to be not known by the student.
